About the team

We are the Formula Student racing team of Lund University, consisting of Engineers, who enlisted in a project-course at the Faculty of Engineering, and business students who take care of all administrative and promotional tasks. The project starts every autumn, with the goal to design, develop and manufacture a top class racing car during the school year, and compete against other universities from all over the world at the official competitions. About the competitions

Formula student is an international engineering competition, initiated by The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in USA. Their opinion was that the engineering students they recruited lacked the practical knowledge of building a car and the overall phases of such a project. They wanted to improve the quality of their education by involving the students in a real world product development and manufacturing project. Read more about the competition here.
